After the removal of two main walls, there were several rooms that needed to be moved around, including the original kitchen, which was shifted out of its separate-room location and into the existing lounge. The old kitchen area was then transformed into a study.
Doors were clad with 3mm thick Kerlite anthracite ceramic tile, creating a stone-effect surface and a great backdrop to this area, which grounds the overall design. To maximise space, a custom, white gloss bookcase was incorporated into the design, as well as a highly functional breakfast bar in 60mm Laminate bianco dax with transparent 12mm glass leg.
They called on the experienced stonemasons and cabinetmakers from Kitchen at Quality to assist with the design. The homeowners were able to communicate their desired outcome for their dream kitchen through a close working relationship with the professional staff from Kitchen at Quality, who demonstrated that nothing was too difficult when it came to their clients.
Another option for an outlet-free backsplash is a pop-up outlet that disappears into the countertop. These are especially useful in places where there are no wall cabinets to hide a plug molding strip.
